The University of Bahrain Hosts The International Conference on Higher Education with the Participation of 70 International Universities

The president of the University of Bahrain, Prof. Riyadh Yousef Hamzah, announced that the University of Bahrain will take all necessary arrangements to ensure the success of the largest higher education conference in the kingdom of Bahrain. ” Excellence in higher education” is under the Patronage of the Minister of Education and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi.

Prof Hamzah added that the conference includes the largest gathering of University presidents and higher education leaders in the Middle East, Asia and Africa through the 8th Annual Middle East and Africa Strategic conference to” Enhance University Excellence in all its forms” organised by the body responsible for the international ranking of universities QS, from 4-6 March 2018.

Prof. Hamza expressed his pride that university of Bahrain are hosting this conference “This kind of academic conference will help promote Bahrain’s higher education sector globally. The conference which is aimed at improving, developing and enhancing higher education and reaching higher standards”, confirming that University of Bahrain is the “strategic partner" for this large international conference, which would strength UOBs position as a leading regional university.  

The President of University of Bahrain confirmed that this conference is the first and the largest of its, kind of history of higher education in the kingdom of Bahrain. It includes representatives of over 70 university from more than 45 countries from the Middle East and number of Asian, European and African countries.

He concluded “it is such a wonderful opportunity to have all these international universities and education leaders in the kingdom of Bahrain to share their views and experiences of higher education. It is also a boost to the local economy and promotes the country as a tourist destination.  We hope by sharing and exchanging knowledge on this scale, we can help further improve both the student experience through improved quality and our research through high-quality partnerships.
